Virginia Groundwater LLC is a groundwater, geology and land conservation consulting company based in central Virginia. We are committed to sustainable use and responsible stewardship of water, mineral and land resources. Our services include: Groundwater - hydrogeologic assessments of land parcels to determine groundwater availability and suitablity for water well construction
- well construction: we contract the drilling of water supply wells and ensure quality control; we advise our clients and/or the drilling contractor regarding appropriate depth of the well relative to yield and storage, given geological constraints
- groundwater investigations for land owners and developers to satisfy local ordinance requirements
- water well tests for homeowners and public water supply operators: we design and conduct scientifically accurate tests on water supply wells to determine long-term sustainable yield and suitability of water chemistry
- assist local governments in developing public policy that fosters optimal use of groundwater while protecting the long-term health of the resource
- groundwater assessments of mines and quarries for compliance with local and State regulations
Geology - geologic mapping and structural analysis to determine slope and substrate stability
- evaluate land parcels for mineral resources potential
- evaluate land parcels to identify natural hazard threats
Geophysics - design & conduct electrical resistivity (ER) geophysical surveys on land parcels to determine the best place to drill on your parcel of land
- design & conduct ER surveys to map below-ground voids and caverns
Land Conservation - assist land owners in navigating the process of establishing conservation easements
- develop baseline data and reports for easement holders on existing conditions for land parcels being placed under conservation easement
- perform monitoring services for easement holders to ensure that easemnet provisions are not violated
